The agricultural industry has a long history of using refrigerated containers to pre-cool and refrigerate their produce prior to distribution. Generally, they are seasonal customers that rent our equipment during their harvest period. Fruit growers will often use our cold boxes to cool the fruit shortly after harvesting in order to minimize the ripening process until they are delivered to their retail customers. There is a substantial seed industry that utilizes the cold boxes in order to maintain constant cool temperatures while they package and sort their seeds. Whether it is corn, brussel sprouts or fava beans, refrigerated storage of your produce is a must during the warm summer and fall months.
